The Edward Jenner story

Here you have a video about the discovery of the smallpox vaccine by British physician and scientist Edward Jenner in 1796.
By the mid-18th century smallpox was a major endemic disease, and in Europe smallpox was a leading cause of death, killing an estimated 400,000 Europeans each year.
